Boka Kotorska is a place where mountains meet the sea in breathtaking harmony, and the best way to experience this magic is from the water itself. Our exclusive tour, Kotor Bay Boat Tour by Barba Boats from Herceg Novi, is designed as a must-see experience that travelers from around the world recommend for good reason. To ensure absolute comfort and a relaxed atmosphere, we never sail at full capacity — although our boat holds 45 seats, we welcome a maximum of 30 guests per tour.

As we sail through Europe’s southernmost fjord, true hospitality awaits you on board: traditional local service, refreshing drinks, and a tasting of homemade delicacies. So that you can fully grasp the rich history of this region, we provide an advanced audio and written guide with photographs, available in as many as 13 languages. We’ve made sure you get to know our bay and its cultural heritage through the eyes of us locals.

First Stop: The Baroque Jewel of Perast

After roughly 1.5 hours of pleasant sailing and panoramic views, we make our first stop in the beautiful little town of Perast. This coastal gem has been fully preserved in its original Baroque style. It was once a powerful maritime hub boasting 16 palaces and 19 churches — a testament to the golden age of seafaring and the wealth of the local sea captains. Stroll along its quiet waterfront streets, breathe in the history, and capture beautiful photos before we continue sailing deeper into the bay.

Exploring Mystical Kotor (2-Hour Stop)

Our boat sails onward, straight to the heart of the bay — the ancient town of Kotor. Unlike typical tours, our boat docks right in front of the very entrance to the historic walls of the Old Town. Here you have a full 2 hours of free time to explore on your own.

Kotor is UNESCO-protected and forms a labyrinth of Romanesque churches, Venetian architecture, and hidden squares. Don’t miss the chance to visit the 12th-century Cathedral of Saint Tryphon, walk through the famous Square of Arms, or simply lose yourself in the stone streets full of charm and Kotor’s charismatic cats.

A Sanctuary on the Water: Our Lady of the Rocks Island

After our thrilling stay in Kotor, on the way back we stop across from Perast to visit one of the most photographed spots on the Adriatic — the man-made island of Our Lady of the Rocks.

This unique island was built over centuries by local seafarers, who sank old ships and threw stones around the reef where an icon of the Madonna and Child was found. Important note: landing on the island and the entrance fee are paid directly to the island staff at a price of 3 EUR per person, which includes a visit to the beautiful church and the rich museum, home to priceless votive offerings and maritime relics.

Homeward Bound with Unforgettable Views

On the way back to Herceg Novi, relax to the sound of the waves and take in the spectacular view of the stunning coastline of the bay that proudly carries the title of Europe’s southernmost fjord. Every moment of this voyage is a chance to create memories you’ll carry with you for a lifetime.

Create memories with us. Your Barba Boats.
